The New Birth Process

1.

Realize that all have sinned and need a Savior. Romans 3:23, "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." 1 John 1:8, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."

2.

Repent of sin. Luke 13:3, "Unless you repent you will all likewise perish." Acts 3:19, "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out."

3.

Confess your sins to God. 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Romans 10:10, "With the mouth confession is made to salvation."

4.

Forsake sin. Isaiah 55:7, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord...for He will abundantly pardon."

5.

Believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross. John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

6.

Receive Christ by faith. John 1:12, "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name."

7.

Proclaim Jesus as Lord. Romans 10:9, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:13, "For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Father, I come today confessing with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believing in my heart that God raised Him from the dead.  I ask You to forgive me of my sins and create in me a clean heart.  Help me to hide Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You.  I renounce Satan and my former way of life and desire to receive Jesus into my heart today as Lord and Savior. Jesus, I askYou to come into my life today.  Come in to stay.  In the name of Jesus I pray.  Amen.
